Reflecting the local architectural tradition, the building of Czech Polar station was designed to create a natural piece of Ny-Alesund urban tissue.
Sited in the fringe  of existing village, the house is reduced to its essence. The simple form of the house has been designed in order to fit with the existing context. The austere form is broken only by the projecting porch and the volume of exterior storages and the garage.
