The design of this house is clear and sober as to its mass and employed materials. It is located in the area characterised by “catalogue” development and contrasts with the vagueness of form shown by the most of neighbouring houses. The basic cubic volume of the house is complemented with smaller masses (staircase, terrace) that correspond to their purpose by design. The principle of legibility concerning the purpose of those volumes is felt as an opposite pole to the “decorative” articulation of catalogue houses. The house is located at the northern edge of the plot and its rooms face southwards. The boundary of the street facing area (private garden) is clearly defined by the interconnection of the house and the garage. Material solution of the house follows zoning of its mass. Its main mass is covered with white rendering, smaller volumes being cladded with grey cembonit panels. The interior complies with material austerity of the exterior – it is painted mainly in white (wall decoration, jointer’s products) and its floor is made of oak wood. Its overall tuning is completed with grey and coloured screed.
