A recent issue of ERA21 magazine (5/2014), in spite of the motto “For ever” and corresponding mood of articles such as “House and Grave”, “Lighthouse of the Deceased”, “Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust” sounds relatively optimistically. According to Jaroslav Wertig,“the Czech funeral (non)culture” is subject to change. “From the point of view of funeral culture I am an optimist, the process of progressive cultivation has just reached the gates of our cemeteries”. And one can establish his/her intimate attitude to death. It will be enough “to tame one’s death”. This could issue, e.g., from the discussion of two sociologists, Šárka Syslová and Olga Nešporová of the same name. After all it is the only “Dead Certainty” (A69, Family Vault in Velká Chuchle).

ERA21 included our tender proposal of the mentioned funeral ceremonial hall in Valašské Meziříčí in their survey of the development of funeral facilities in Europe.
